They are almost entirely concerned with the management of the clinics of the School of Dental and Oral Surgery, since 2006 known as the College of Dental Medicine. Also included are records documenting New York State legislation affecting the funding of dental education; a report on dental chart systems; and records relating to the Governor's Task Force on Dental Education.
History and Biography
The Office of Assistant Vice President for Health Sciences was created in July 1977 when John Fiorillo was named to the position. The office was responsible for assisting the Deputy Vice President for Health Sciences Administration in managing the University’s Health Sciences Division which included the schools of medicine, nursing, dentistry, and public health. The office was discontinued after Fiorillo’s resignation in June 1981.
